GSM communicator NEW (GSM Emb v1.18, v1.19)

Product Description:
The GSM communicator Emb v1.18-1.19 is compatible with all alarm systems. If you provide it with adequate power supply you can use it as self-dependent alarm system (the scheme required in order for the alarm to work as self-dependent system is available here: here) and also as device used for surveillance and remote control of different appliances/devices (the scheme required for the relay attachment is available here: here). Programming of all functions and parameters of GSM dialer Emb is implemented by the recorded numbers with names 0 or 1 in the SIM card placed in it. There are 2 possible ways of programming: 1. You call the communicator from one of those numbers, enter the required (for You) DTMF commands (simply put – digits and symbols) from your GSM’s keyboard, request status and you receive SMS with full status report and programmed parameters. You send SMS from numbers 0 or 1 with simple commands.
As ‘smarter’ telephones get as harder is to do simple things with them. For example to record a number in the memory of the SIM card. More and more often it seems we record numbers the phone itself instead in the SIM like we wanted. To avoid this kind of problems we have made a small but useful change: after the initial switch on the dialer records the first number to call as the fitter’s one. You can find how to do that step by step in the manual.
The other change we have is about sending SMS with own text. There is now a possibility to add 3 SMS with own text: OwnSMS1, OwnSMS2 and OwnSMS3. How to program them - see the full installation manual. Attention: The SMS have to be in Latin!

Technical Features :
During the recording of numbers in the SIM it is obligatory to use names consisting of one digit from 0 to 9. The order in which the number is recorded in the SIM is no longer of consequence – but it must be in the first 20 numbers recorded in the SIM and its access rights depend only on the given name.

Count of alerted telephone numbers: up to 9

‘Admin’ number: 1 (It has name 0. Has all access rights to program, but does not receive calls.)

Recording/changing telephone numbers in the SIM: 2 ways (except through GSM call, now you can also do it with SMS from numbers with names 0 or 1)

During recording with SMS from numbers with name 0 or 1 use the following format: 2=0888123456,3=089987654 (with this example you record numbers with name 2 and 3)

New command #1 used for checking the recorded numbers in the SIM. This also happens only from numbers with names 0 or 1.

Zone count: 5 programmable

Zone type: 8 types

Zone control: through feeding or dropping of “+12V” or through feeding or dropping of “-“, it is programmed (On initial switch on after reset the GSM communicator ‘reads’ and ‘ remembers’ the state of the zones)

Possibility to add SMS with own text (with SMS from numbers with name 0 or 1) – up to 3 SMS with own text.

Possibility to divide zones into 2 groups: yes, it is programmable.

Count of dial cycles: from 1 to 9, it is programmable.

Additional function which gives you the opportunity to choose whether the dial cycle should be stopped if one of the numbers ‘picks up’.

Additional function – gives you the opportunity to choose whether to stop the dial in case of a missed alarm in which the alarm signal is restored in the next 40 seconds after the initial activation.

Count of controllable outputs: 2 type open collector 400mA/ max peak 500mA (the scheme required for the relay attachment to the outputs is available here: here)

Modes of the controllable outputs: trigger (STEADY) and Pulsed mode; it is programmable

Access rights for the outputs’ control: with call from numbers with name from 0 to 4 and/or with SMS from numbers 0 or 1

Status report of the outputs: yes; the combination ## from numbers with name from 0 to 4 returns SMS with status report of the outputs

Power supply: DC 12V/250mA. ATTENTION: If you want to supply the communicator with 24V please notify us in your order.

The GSM module is power supplied through AUX of the alarm system, not directly from the battery! Exception: in the cases of SP55 and SP65 power supply through the serial port! You can order (free of charge) cable with extension for this port!

Consumption in stand-by mode: 20mA

Consumption when sending SMS: 80mA

Consumption when dial: 120mA

Monitoring of power supply: at client’s convenience, it is programmable. By default settings it monitors only the battery’s condition.

Test SMS: at client’s convenience, it is programmable.

Mic-in: yes

Headset out: yes (scheme how to connect your mic and headset you can find here: in the FAQ section)

“HELP” menu: yes; the combination ** from numbers with name 0 or 1 returns SMS with all commands.

Status report of the system and settings: yes; the combination ## from numbers 0 or 1 returns SMS with the full status report of the module and programmed parameters. At the end of the SMS there is information about the GSM’s signal strength – based on its value you can determine if you need an extra antenna or the built-in one is enough.
